Awesome Autumn - Alex at 72LB
It’s been a hectic few months at Ribiere. As many of you will know we have a new partner in the business.
David Cooper has joined us with a view to taking full ownership with his wife Heidi and their young family. He will be working on UK bookings, sales, marketing and fisheries management.

Fishing Report
Well, it’s been a rollercoaster ride over the last six weeks. After the hot, hot summer we got the rain which switched them on big time and anglers filled their nets. Then we had more rain... and then more rain. The heavy storms switched them off and they seem to be feeding selectively and for short times.
But the rewards have been spectacular for those who have worked it out and battled to get them on the bank. Alex has been out twice - two weeks apart - first at 72lb and then at 70lb. The tail damage is now looking fully recovered and the fish is in great condition - a result of our focus on fishcare here at Ribiere [read on to find out more]. I am hopeful that Alex can break through the 80lb barrier in the next year or so.
There have been some great sessions over the last month or so including:
- Ian Porteous with a group of five anglers who had over 100 fish including Alex.
- Kevin Lewis who had the session of his life catching lots of 40lb fish.
- Then Peter fishing the tough weeks with over 20 fish including Alex at 70lb.
- Jason fished out of his skin to land three over 40 to 47 from peg 5 when the rest of the lake was struggling. He also had four over 30lb and his best friend smashed his PB with a 45lb on the last night from peg 6.
- The group from RidgeMonkey fished last week and had a steady haul with fish up to 47lb, a nice 45lb common and the albino catfish. Please like the Facebook page for fish catch reports we post weekly.
Below are Peter's fish which are simply stunning. I want to give him a special mention as he is one of the best anglers we have seen at Ribiere and he is so consistent. All the fish are from his difficult week. Well difficult for everyone else that is...
