We can today announce that UK carp angler and business owner, David Cooper, has entered into partnership with the current owner, Michel Bonneau, with a view to taking over the venue long-term.
Michel has had Ribière on the market with a view to finding the right people to take the venue forward, building on the excellent foundation and reputation he has established. He feels that he has now found the perfect partner to take the lake into the future and onto the next level. As he explains, “David is a carp angler who knows the venue well. He has fished here over a number of years. In addition he has been carp fishing for over 25 years and has extensive knowledge of fisheries management and the English carp scene. We have exciting plans to take the lake forward together over the next year or so before David takes on the full-time running of the lake, moving onto site with his family.”
David and his wife, Heidi, will now be running all the UK enquiries and bookings whilst managing the marketing and promotion of Ribiere across Europe.
As David comments, “Ribière is already well established as a big fish venue. This is set to continue and to be further developed. We have some truly special fish which we know can develop much further, so our initial focus will be on ensuring the fish have the best conditions to grow and reach that potential. We will be reducing the number of pegs and reserving more dates for lake exclusives from 2017.
We think this will enable anglers to have a better chance of landing something very special. You will also see improvements to our website to make booking and information much easier to find. In addition, we will also be making improvements to our on-site angling facilities over the closed season. It will be an exciting time for Ribière over the next few years and I am privileged to be part of this. I also want to reassure anglers who have already booked that there will be no interruption to their bookings. What we will be doing is trying to make their visit even more memorable.
